Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.” Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. (James 4:13-14 WEB)

Welcome.  Thank you for visiting the Hartley Wintney Baptist Church website.  All services and other regular meetings are currently suspended during the COVID-19 outbreak.  We hope that you find all the information you need here, but if you have any further questions please get in touch with us [link to contact us page].

We will let everyone know when we are able to start meeting again.  During the suspension of services, we will be finding alternative ways of encouraging one another in prayer and worship.  This will include extending use of this website and contact by telephone.

We want to express God's love during this difficult time - if you are self-isolating and think we might be able to help you in any way (even just by having someone to talk to on the phone) then please email us: contact@hwbaptist.org.uk or ring the pastor on 01252 625578.

Even though we will not be able to all meet together, on Easter Sunday we will each be celebrating the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, proving that his claims to be more than just a good man were true.  He had claimed to be God in human flesh - and his resurrection was proof of this claim.

We are a small but enthusiastic and friendly congregation which in normal circumstances meets every Sunday in the Baptist Church on the main road through Hartley Wintney.  Our services are fairly traditional in style and include both well-known hymns and modern worship songs.  The Bible is central to us as a church as we seek to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and further the work of his Kingdom in the local community and beyond.
